DREAMS - Driving Robot Easy Movable System

The Control Sistem driving robot DREAMS represents a new approach to the automatic vehicle driving for tests on chassis dyno. Thanks to an industrial (anthropomorphic) robot with six degrees of freedom, the management of the shifting gear level is done as a human arm.
The system can be placed on the car by a single man, without mechanical modifications to the vehicle. The flexibility of the robot, in agreement with the software management, allow to control all the shifting gear levels configuration.
The robot can be installed on passenger seat by two belts. The driver seat is free, so that a man can easily operate into the vehicle.
The pedal box is installed on the floor, in front of the driver seat; fast lock connections to the pedals allow to complete the mechanical installation.
The system needs the vehicle velocity for driving, it's not necessary the engine speed signal.
The whole control of the system is done in a simple and easy way, thanks to a great human man interface.
The system can be optionally equipped with a conditioning system to operate in climatic test cells down to -40 °C.
